NORTHERN FRANCE

Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardie

Resulting from the administrative gathering of very different regional entities, the Hauts-de-France region counts several cities with an important architectural and historical heritage: Beauvais, Noyon, St. Quentin, Senlis, Laon, Soissons, Amiens and their cathedral; Compiegne, Pierrefonds, Chantilly and their castle; Arras and its Place d’Arme and of course Lille, city of art and culture.

Nature is also present with remarkable sites such as the Marquenterre area in the Bay of Somme or the Blanc-nez and Gris-nez caps on the Opal coast. Not to mention the many festivals and popular events, beer and mussels that especially in the north bring a festive atmosphere.
