From the Garonne to the Canal du Midi, from Saint-Sernin to the Space Museum, there are many reasons to come and discover the multiple faces of Toulouse. Be the visitor who, in turn, will be a pilgrim in churches, a historian or an art lover in museums.
The famous “pink city” is a large metropolis with the soul of a village whose charm rests on the beauty of the architecture and the effervescence of its population.
Covered with red tiles and dressed in orange bricks, Toulouse has become the 4th largest city in France while keeping its strong local traditions alive. Welcoming, spontaneous and friendly, Toulouse can easily be visited on foot. Your stroll will take you from one sumptuous Renaissance mansion to another (there are dozens in the historic center), from the prestigious Place du Capitole to the famous Saint-Sernin basilica (the largest Romanesque building in Christendom) , the cloisters of the Augustinians and the Jacobins, the many museums, and finally along the sunny banks of the Garonne and the Canal du Midi (world heritage).
